Carol’s business is far more than a one-woman act. As her repertoire of specialty performances grew, so did her team of performers and the operational complexity.
“I used to create all my own contracts and invoices using Word and Excel,” Carol recalls. “It was painstaking, very time-consuming, and honestly, didn’t look very professional.”
With gigs spanning the globe and a bustling South African events calendar, managing performer schedules, client communications, and tech team logistics became overwhelming. Carol needed a centralized solution - one that would reduce her admin time and scale with her business.
Enter Giggio: “I just wanted a one-stop shop,” she says. “Something where repeat clients wouldn’t have to re-enter their details every time. Giggio turned out to be exactly that - simple, intuitive, and incredibly effective.”
Carol quickly became a power user, clocking over a thousand bookings through the platform. Among her favorite features? The sleek documentation.
“The payment receipts I send out with Giggio look so professional - clients always comment on them,” she explains. “It makes my business stand out. People say, ‘Wow, you run such a top-class operation.’ That’s partly because Giggio makes me look good.”
She also appreciates the responsive support: “If I’ve forgotten how to do something, the team are there instantly. It’s been a long and happy marriage.”
For Carol, the biggest benefit is time. “The things that make me money - marketing, developing new acts, actually performing - I now have more time for because I’m not stuck doing repetitive admin.”
And sometimes that time crunch gets creative: “Once, I was literally stepping into the bubble, trying to send a quote on my phone before the tech crew pried it out of my hands,” she laughs.
As Red Cello continues to evolve with new visual music experiences, Giggio remains a trusted partner, helping Carol focus on what matters most - making magic on stage.
Would Carol ever consider going back? “That’s the stuff nightmares are made of,” she says. “Taking Giggio away would be devastating.”
For entertainers juggling artistry and entrepreneurship, Giggio is more than just software - it’s a business essential.
